We have evacuated due to flooding

We have evacuated due to flooding.  This is the first time I have gotten internet access.  I do apologize, but my home is under water here in Lafayette, LA. I will be back Wednesday God willing.  Please keep my family in your prayers.

  1. So sorry to hear that. I live up north by Shreveport. I hope your home will be salvageable. Unbelievable amounts of rain falling.

I think they said it something like 34 inches in 2 days. They are calling it a 500 year flood. People who. Built on high ground are getting flooded out. It’s the worst I have seen in 60 years.

As it says in the good book God helps them who help themselves, and as one who has prepared, you be back on top of things in no time at all. Our prayer are with you.

    Sorry to hear that!

    Be safe & well!

Question, years ago I heard back in early 2000’s that there were certain areas being reconstructed for modernization or, whatever.

But, a statement I heard said these floodings were the results of a altered landscape from waters redirection.

Seems to be happening more frequently. New construction may be to blame.

But, it’s being kept under wraps…SMH
