Hello. my friend and welcome back! I see the signs every day of Preppers becoming complacent, ever since Donald Trump was elected President. This is not good and it’s also the topic of today’s post, so grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while we visit.
Now, I will be the first to admit that ever since Donald Trump was elected President, I have felt a bit more hopeful that disaster may be postponed a little longer. This does not, however, mean that I have in any way dropped my guard or slowed on my prepping pace. History has shown time and time again that peace is often short-lived, and it’s during these times of complacency when evil catches people off guard.
The truth is that we all want to live in peace and believe that things are going to get better, but that is seldom the case. While the pouring of illegal aliens and Muslim Refugees coming into our country has been somewhat reduced, it has not been stopped completely and there are already millions of illegals still here in the US.
These are not people who love America, but the complete opposite in fact. Now is not the time to let down our guard and rest on our laurels. The Liberals and Democrats are doing everything they can to undermine our President, and I so doing they undermine the stability of the US in many ways. Let me stop right here and say that this is not a political post, but an explanation of what I see as the driving factors for disaster in our current situation.
Tensions with North Korea, IRAN, China and other nations have increased since the election. After years of letting these countries take advantage of the American people, they see President Trump as the new kid on the block and are going to see just how far they can push him before he hits back. This poses a significant threat to our current peaceful state.
We have spies in the highest of places in the US and they are just looking for a kink in our armor that they can exploit. Muslim radicals are attacking innocent American people both at home and abroad. While anyone who openly supports America is ridiculed and attacked by the left.
There is even dissent in our very own foreign Diplomats who openly challenge their orders from the very President they swore an oath to follow. This can only lead to conflict and possibly even war.
Many times before, I have said that the second Civil War is on its way and I still stand by that today. Every day radicals get bolder and bolder with their actions and their threats against our President and the very people who love America. We have allowed far too many foreigners into our country and even as I write this, they are plotting the destruction of America.
There is a Civil War coming and you had better be ready for it, because if not, you will be in a world of hurt, my friend. Nations such as China who have benefited from a one-sided trade deal crafted by crooked politicians are hatching ways to destroy our economy as retaliation for this coming to an end. They have reaped the profits and now the American people are fighting back. They don’t like this and they will not give it up without a fight.
There are still rogue Generals in the military that could stage a takeover of our beloved country and leave us powerless to do anything about it, in the short-term. No, my friend, this is not the time to let your guard down, because we are just as close to a disaster as we ever were. We just have a different President is all, but the real danger is still out there.
Solar Flares, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, and Tornadoes care not who is the President of the United States. They pose just as much of a threat today as they ever have.
Now is the time, to be loading up on guns and ammunition while they are still freely available. Take those training classes you have been thinking about and become more prepared than ever. Now is the time to become re-energized and take a good look at your Preps to see where your weak spots are and work on them.

Sarge, you’ve hit the nail on the head. I, too, believe that we are closer to serious problems simply because as President Trump implements much needed changes, it is inevitable that some will lose their seat on the gravy train that they’ve been taught to enjoy over the past forty years – you can give, but you can not take away! As the United States reasserts itself in the world arena it is likely that countries that have taken advantage of the U.S. for so long will consider aligning with nations that may be opposed to changes.
I could go on, but I think the direction is obvious. Now is not the time to sit back and rest on your laurels – or preps, it’s time to become even more watchful and prepared.
Well spoken, and many thanks for your service to our country. We have all heard the old saying “Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it…” (paraphrased), and yet, I fear that many smile when they hear it and don’t really believe in its truth. There are far too many examples of fallen societies that were complacent and lulled into a false sense of “that could never happen here”. Yes, it can happen, it has happened, and it no doubt happen again. All that we need to do is to look at events around the globe and the rise of “snowflakes” and “eighth place trophy winners” in our own country to find parallels all throughout history. We can not afford to give up any liberty for what is in reality, a false sense of security.
Your comments regarding stocking up rings true in my world, and yet I would like to remind your readers that they need to buy with cash and to avoid leaving a paper trail of their purchases of guns, ammo and reloading supplies (and most other supplies as good rule of course). Our government has proven itself to be an amazing collector of information on the citizens of our country, and I am certain that there are files ready on those of us who are doing what we can to preserve the safety and security of our families once TSHTF. If they know that you have it, it makes it all too easy for them to attempt to take it away. That also includes caches of food and medical supplies beyond the governments recommended 3 day supply.
Just a comment on a previous comment regarding what to do when TSHTF and folks start showing up. You are correct in your assertion that most folks will turn elsewhere rather than dealing with a perceived “crazy”. And yet, friends and family will be very difficult to turn away. While I do my best to encourage my circle of close family and friends to do their part, I fear that I will be faced with needing to be that “crazy”… They all know that I have been “the crazy” all along in my efforts to be prepared for whatever is thrown our way. Yes, it is the Christian thing to do to offer food and shelter and security to those in need, and yet, at what cost? Darwin comes to mind once again.
