Hello my friend and welcome back to another post! Today’s post (Don’t be afraid of the dark) is going to be a little different. We are going to take a look at what lies in the future and why we shouldn’t fear it, so grab a cup of coffee and sit back while we visit.
We usually talk about things we can do while bugging out or ways to prepare for the future. In today’s post I want to address a question I get a whole lot and it really bothers me that people are actually asking the question in earnest. The question is “Will it even be worth living if the world changes so drastically?” or “I don’t think I want to live through something like that!” It breaks this tough old heart of mine when I hear these questions because I know that these people have lost hope and just don’t see a way forward when it all falls apart. It is these people who feel this way that I want to address today and I hope my readers will add their comments below as well.
Now at this point I could break into my “GOD BLESS AMERICA” soap box speech, but I’m not. If you can’t see a way forward, then appealing to your patriotism would be useless or I could say something like “Suck it up Buttercup!” but that still wouldn’t do any good either. It seems to me that the real issue here is that you just don’t think you can make it through these troubled times, so why try? I like to say “Never look back because your future is in front of you!” The truth is however sometimes you really need to stop and look back. You need to look at all of the challenges that you have overcome to get to where you are today. You have no doubt faced adversity in the past, so why give up now? Did you say there is no point in loving and just not ever love anyone again after your first heart-break or crawl in a hole when you got your butt kicked for the first time or the hundredth time? No, you didn’t and why? Because life is worth living no matter the cost!
Edmund Burke once said that all it takes for evil to succeed in the world is for good men to do nothing and I believe him. As for myself, when I look into the eyes of children, I can’t help but wonder what kind of life they will have if good people don’t stand up and fight the good fight and give them a life worth living. We owe them that much at the very least, because that is what our grandparents did for us. The US has fought two world wars against Communism and yet here it is again raising its ugly head. Does that mean we should just lie down and say oh well we tried? Hell no! I won’t for sure. Let me be honest with you, it’s time that you quit feeling sorry for yourself and think about the future generations for a change. If you are over 30 and under 60 then you, are part of the reason that the America is the way it is. Let’s face it; you have dropped the ball by not paying attention to what was going on in Washington and putting a stop to the corruption when it all started. No, instead you sat back on your laurels and said someone else would do something about it and there was not really anything you could do. Now instead of being willing to clean up your own mess, you want to lie down and say it’s not worth fighting for? What the hell is wrong with you people? Freedom is always worth fighting for and you owe it to the young people of America to make things right again and not turn your back on them. Be angry that America has a corrupt Government! Be angry that people think that America owes them a living! Be angry that no one is doing anything about it! Be angry and then use that anger to make a difference in America for the better. Bring back freedom and remove the restrictions on it. Force people to work for what they get and shame them when they take a hand out for no good reason.
It’s that same anger that all of those that came before you had and were willing to die for and you should be ashamed if it doesn’t burn in your heart and soul. The future will be what we make it and nothing more and nothing less. When you ask if the world will be worth living in when the darkness comes, the answer is “YES”! If you don’t care about your country, then at least care about the children that will have to live in the world you will leave behind.
Yes, there is a darkness coming, but don’t be afraid of it! Be angry that it is even coming at all and use the light from the fire of your anger to show you the way to the future! Fear is for children and not for the warrior! Make the corrupt fear the darkness and you! Until next time, stay safe, stay strong and stay prepared! God bless America!
