Keeping you in my prayers …here in Toronto (Canada) we are getting hit by the same Texas system,luckily nothing like what you are dealing with,minor flooding only.Glad you got internet access,major issue,apparently AT&T putting up temporary towers to help with cellphone and internet access.Can’t imagine what this is like for all of you…being a Prepper ,at least you have the mindset and knowledge..Keep safe .Angie

Question, years ago I heard back in early 2000’s that there were certain areas being reconstructed for modernization or, whatever.
But, a statement I heard said these floodings were the results of a altered landscape from waters redirection.
Seems to be happening more frequently. New construction may be to blame.
But, it’s being kept under wraps…SMH

So sorry to hear that. I live up north by Shreveport. I hope your home will be salvageable. Unbelievable amounts of rain falling.
I think they said it something like 34 inches in 2 days. They are calling it a 500 year flood. People who. Built on high ground are getting flooded out. It’s the worst I have seen in 60 years.
