Best survival guns to deal with an emergency.
Life is unpredictable and that reflects in the rising number of deaths due to unnatural causes. At times unknowingly situations are created in which it becomes important to take tough calls. Not to mention the fact that we have to take care of food and other resources. Apart from the regular stuff you also need to keep firearms to avoid the situation from worsening. Here are some guns which act as the best choice when we have to deal with an emergency crisis at home or in neighbourhood.
Shotguns
If you are not very keen on spending a lot of money on gun then shotguns are the best option for you. Not only is the ammunition for the same cheap you can also use them for regular hunting purposes. If reliability is what you are expecting then go for the pump action shotguns. A semi-auto shotgun can also be trusted provided you are ok to invest effort in its upkeep.
Pistols
Looking for a pistol for self-defence then considering the 9mm handgun is a great idea. Though the .40 and .45 are viable options for defending you can choose any one depending upon your need. Though it is fine for defending it should not be your only preference when buying a gun. You can keep them with any other kind of firearms to act as an addition.
Rifles
Amongst rifles, there are a lot of options available and you might have to do your share of research before finally picking up one.
- Long range rifle – This kind of rifle works best when you may need to fire at someone in the distance. A gap of more than 600 yards can easily be covered using the long range rifle. However, do understand the adjustments of long range rifle scope before opting for this one as it is a difficult procedure.
- Semi-automatic rifles– Most popular rifles in this category are the AK-47 and the AR-15. They use cheap ammunition and can act as saviors in any kind of emergency situation you might be subjected to.
- Small game rifle– The .22 rifle falls under this category. They can be a great alternative for small time killings but not very effective for tough situations. Keep this is a last resort as the purposes it fulfills are limited.
Apart from getting the kind of gun you require it is also advisable to keep a stock of ammunition in your home. It is possible that when you actually need it the ammunition may not be available. Life can be really tricky at times. It is best to be prepared beforehand for any kind of disaster waiting to happen. Once you have bought a gun go through video tutorials on how to polish your shooting skills. If possible practice some shots at home or in vacant spaces with lifeless targets to understand your ability better. You may not get a chance to even think when an emergency strikes hence keeping yourself braced up is very necessary.

Hey, Sgt.,
How’s it hanging? That was a Great Article. I mostly agree with all of it. I prefer the Mossberg 500 A ‘Home Defense’ Shotgun in 3″ Magnum Chamber, S&W .45’s, AR-15 & have AK’s with Alternate ‘Back-Up Weapons of the same calibers along with .22’s (Pistol & Riffles with High-Capacity Mag.s) @ Pre-selected stash spots, along with Stoked Ammo & other gear. I’m confident in this as part of my “Situational Plan.” I can only hope others have more than ONE Stash for ANY Event. You never know where you’ll be when / should “TSHTF!”
I LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING! GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!!!!!! ☺
