Hello my friend and welcome back! A while back I ran across a deck of card with edible plants and other information on them. Since then I have collected several other decks of cards with even more information on them and they are some of the most useful tools you can have in your BOB when bugging out. This is the subject of today’s post, so grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while we visit.
It all started with a deck of card I got on Amazon which had edible plants on them, as well as information on how to eat them. I mean, I know I should, but I just don’t spend a lot of time walking around looking for edible plants. Because of this, I’m sure that when the time comes, I will be struggling to identify edible plants. This is where the cards come in. They have a picture of the plant on one side and information on how to prepare them on the other. These cards are repper’s bag.
Next, I ran across a deck of cards with different knots and how to tie them on each card. This is something else that will definitely be helpful when trying to remember how to tie some of the more difficult knots during bug out. After familiarizing myself with them I simply throw them in my bag, so I will have them when I need therm.
Next, I stumbled across a deck called Wilderness Survival cards which have different survival tips on surviving in the wilderness. There is also a deck for Urban survival as well. They all have tips and techniques for surviving on them. You can actually play cards and learn something at the same time.
Survival Tips playing cards by Survival Frog are great for putting you survival knowledge to the test. Each card has a disaster scenario written on it. They are packed with fun survival tips on each card as well. These are a good way to teach members of your group or your children survival skills while having fun at the same time.
There are also the “Don’t die out there” and the “Don’t get lost out there” decks as well. Having either of these decks with you when you are traveling and trying to survive could make the difference between life and death.
Then, there is my favorite card game, “Conflicted”. This is one of those games every Prepper should have and play on regular bases. When the time comes and you are faced with a hard decision, you will be able to make it knowing you have already gone through the thought process and you are making the right decision.
Be fore warned, Conflicted is a game that will challenge your beliefs and force you to make decisions and in the process learn a lot about your own self. An example is could you turn away a starving child to keep others in your group from going hungry? Small children don’t eat much, and if you turn them away they will certainly die, so what do you do?
These are real world decisions you could be forced to make one day and it’s better to work through them now that latter. Conflicted is just that, it forces you to make the hard decisions that you would rather not even think about let alone deal with now.
There are many other card decks and game out there for those who really want to survive in a harsh world, whether it’s for your family or just for the sake of survival, you must be able to make the hard decisions to survive. There are actually several different decks of Conflicted on Amazon.com so grab a deck to day and get started learning. When it comes to survival, you had better be playing with the right deck if you want to make it.
Well, that’s it for today and I hope you have found this post worth your time and until next time, stay safe, stay strong, and stay prepared. God Bless America!
