Pay attention to who’s whining about Quarantine!

Hello, my friend and welcome back! Every day since this quarantine started, I have heard nothing but whining from many who claim to be ready for SHTF. It really makes me wonder if they have what it takes to survive? Now grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while we visit.

My wife and I went to the store the other day and were amazed to see all of the people out walking around. Then I came home and read about the protest going on at the State Capital here in Idaho. It seems like everywhere you look right now, people are complaining about having to stay at home.

The whole point of this quarantine is to help save people’s lives. They still have their internet, cable TV, radio and all of the comforts of home. Why is it so hard to stay at home? Now, don’t get me wrong, I do understand the need to work to pay your bills, but the Government is paying you money to stay home. While it may be nowhere near what you need to make ends meet, it should help some. If you’re a good Prepper, this quarrantine should be a walk in the park for you.

Having said all of that, I really worry about the ability of many Preppers to stay in isolation for months at a time when SHTF. If you can’t handle the isolation for a month or two, how will you handle a year or more? SHTF will mean you will not have any of the great things you can enjoy during this quarantine. No radio or TV or electricity, not even water or sewer.

If you can’t stand a month or two of isolation, what will you do when the hordes of hungry people come banging on your door for something to eat? Just look at all of the people out wandering around your town or neighborhood…These are the same people who will be coming for your food and supplies when SHTF.

They will say they are entitled to all of your belongings, just like they think they are entitled to get out and do what they want during this quarantine. If their actions result in the death of others, then so be it, is how they see it. This quarantine should scare the crap out of you because it should show you just how real the threat is.

So many Americans have become so spoiled, and think they are entitled to be taken care of while not offering anything in return. Just like a spoiled child, they will take on a herd mentality believing that if a group of people thinks the same way, then it must be true. They will kill for what they want and not think twice about it because, in their mind, they will be justified in their actions. Entitled to take whatever they want.

Prepping is not just about storing up food, supplies, and firearms. It’s about preparing for all aspects of an SHTF situation including being mentally prepared for long periods of isolation. It will not be easy but it will be necessary. When you see others whining about how horrible this virus quarantine is, make a mental note of who they are, they could be the very ones coming for your food when SHTF.

Well, that’s it for today my friend, and thanks for stopping by. Until next time, stay safe, stay strong, and stay prepared. God Bless America!

  1. Thank you for your article.

And, I’m encouraging my family and friends to start preparing Now for the second wave.
SHTF takes many forms. Illness, pandemic, cut in hours, job loss, helping others etc.
My family now knows why I prep.

  2. This is the opinion that I can support. No one is saying these things. I don’t like being told to stay home but I understand completely, especially when I hear about how overwhelmed our doctors and nurses are. They are working long hours around sick folks at the risk of taking this pestilence home to their own families, I pray for them every night. Yep, I’ll stay home just so I don’t bring this home to my granddaughter or foster daughter, and not make things worse for those who are already working themselves to hard. It’s the right thing to do, we can argue over the Constitution later if some politician decides to expand on temporary measures (then we can hang him/her and skin him/her). A good thing came out of this for my family, my two sons and my brother all got a chance to see why this crazy old man prepares. Didn’t go to market for toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, potato chips, pork chops …well you get the Idea. They have all informed me that they will be starting a preparedness plan that suits their needs, budget and time constraints.

    • Your attitude is the one that all Preppers should be adopting right now. As others see the necessity of Prepping, we should all encourage and support them. Good job Kerry, and keep up the good work!

  3. Bet those complaining are city folk. Here in rural Montana, things haven’t changed much. We go into town once a month for supplies. We keep supplies on hand in case we get snowed in, rock slide closes the road, etc. Being retired military has given the mine set to not get too excited over anything out of the ordinary and to wait a see.
