Review: 3VGEAR.Com’s Covert 36” Padded Guncase

Hello my friend and welcome back!  My good friends at 3VGEAR sent me one of their new gun cases to review and one to give away, so don’t forget to enter.  The drawing will be at lunch on 4th of July 2017, so don’t miss a chance to win one of these great products.  OK, grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while we visit.

The price of these at 3VGEAR.com is $57.95 at the time of this writing.

Product Description:  The 3V GEAR Covert 36” Padded Gun Case has been designed to withstand the rigors of field use with its semi-rigid design and fully padded enclosure, but with an inconspicuous design. With a subdued tactical look you can move about freely and not draw any unwanted attention to yourself or the firearm you are carrying. is part of the new S.O.B. line packs and bags. S.O.B. stands for Stealth Operator’s Bag. In the world we live in, sometimes it is a good idea to not draw a lot of attention to you and this is the goal of the S.O.B. line of bags. A S.O.B. gives you a more subdued tactical look without compromising the quality and durability of the bag. All S.O.B. bags come with 3V Gear’s Manufacturer Lifetime Warranty.

First impressions:  When you remove it from the box, you can’t help but notice how sturdy and well put together this bag is.  From the outside, it really doesn’t look like anything special, just your ordinary rifle bag.  It’s not till you open it up that you see the magic inside.  This case is actually loaded with compartments for all of your magazines and ammo.  But only the test will tell if it will live up to what I have come to expect from 3VGEAR.

Type of testing:   As many of you know, I have a reputation of putting bags through some pretty harsh test and this one is no different.  First I filled the bag with several 20 lb. weights and repeatedly dropped them from about 20 feet in the air and they showed no sign of ware with the exception of a little dirt.  Then I tied the handle to the end of a rope with the same 20 lb. weights inside and dropped the bag from about ten feet and stopped id 1 foot from the ground several times to test the handle and straps.  Again, everything held and showed no sign of giving way.  These things are Tuff!

PROS:

  • Very Covert and non-assuming.
  • Holds one 36 inch rifles.
  • Holders 6 Rifle Magazines.
  • Holders for 5 Pistol Clips.
  • Pouch for holding your pistol.
  • 2 Large Mesh pouches for holding Accessories.
  • Very sturdy construction.
  • Life time Warranty.

CONS:  Absolutely nothing I can think of!

Conclusion:  If you’re looking for a good high quality bag take hunting or to the range, this is the one you want.   I honestly didn’t think they could improve on the Ranger 36 Padded Double Gun Case, but they have actually done it.  If you need good solid bags of any type, check out the ones at 3VGEAR.Com first. This is a good solid bag and I’m sure glad I have one now because I will be using it a lot.

Product Rating:

Someone commented the other day that I don’t need to give a product a 5 star rating just because they gave me one.  I promise you friend that is not the case at all.  3VGEAR.com produces some of the best gun cases on the market today.  If you have any doubts, order one and let me know what you think.  I will gladly share your comment in a future article on “Top Spots for Prepper Supplies”.

Well I guess that’s it for today and I hope you have enjoyed it, so until next time my friend, stay safe, stay strong and stay prepared.  God Bless America!

      • Im going to put all of the entries and put them in a spreadsheet and number them. Then I will use a random number generator and the winner will be the one who is assigned to that number on the spreadsheet. It’s the only fair way to do it. 🙂
