Hello, my friend and welcome back! As per my previous review on the samples sent to me by my friends at Valley Food Storage, today’s post is a review of their Freeze Dried Pasta Primavera. Grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while we visit.
Seller & Price: valleyfoodstorage.com – $11.95 for a bag containing 3 cups of Freeze Dried Pasta Primavera.
Product Description: Each Bag contains FIVE servings of Freeze Dried Pasta Primavera. Simply mix 1/2 cup of Freeze-Dried Pasta Primavera to 3/4 cup of boiling water per serving. Gently bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and let stand for 2-3 minutes. Stir before serving.
First impressions: I am NOT a broccoli fan so I was skeptical about this one. The wife loves broccoli so she was excited to try it.
Type of testing done: My wife prepared the 2 servings last night with a small salad. I must say my wife absolutely loved it and I was brave and was very happy that it didn’t taste like just pasta and broccoli. It was actually very delicious! The noodles were not at all mushy and the sauce was so creamy and rich. We added nothing but the water and loved it.
PROS:
- Taste Great!
- 25 Year Shelf Life.
- Easy to use.
- Space saving packages.
- Comes in Mylar bags with zipping seal.
- Great Prices!
- No MSG, No Trans Fats, No Cholesterol.
CONS: need to cook over heat.
Conclusion: This is a great lightweight portable meal to store for SHTF. This Entrée comes in a Mylar zipping closure bag with rehydrating instructions, which will fit neatly in your bug out bag. Taste great and is a great value as well. It is so good, so I give it five out of five stars!
If you’re looking to add Entrees to your preps that taste good and won’t break the bank, this is it! Order a bag and try it and you will see for yourself. This is good stuff and have already added some to my preps, but will definitely be adding more to my preps. With a 25-year shelf life, you can’t go wrong.
Well, that is it for today’s review and I hope you have found it as informative as I have. Until next time, stay safe, stay strong and stay prepared. God Bless America!
