Special Video: Top 10 SHTF Communications.

Hello, my friend and welcome back!  I have a special video for you today that was posted to Youtube by SensiblePrepper.  While Radio Shack is no longer in business, many of these can be picked up at flea markets for hardly nothing.  It’s a good introduction to what types of radios every prepper should have available to them when it all falls apart. Grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while the video plays.  I hope you will find it informative and useful. Until next time, stay safe, stay strong and stay prepared.  God Bless America!

In my opinion, Uniden makes the best scanners on the market. The fact that it has 300 channels that you can program using your PC will save you tons of time programming it. The narrow band will help reduce chatter from nearby frequencies. What does worry me is that there is just a whole lot of information that they don’t talk about like frequency range or if it has GPS capabilities that automatically locate the correct frequencies for where you are currently located. It also doesn’t say whether or not it supports “Trunking” which is what most police and emergency Services use. I would say look around and you may find a much better deal for the same amount of money. Of corse that’s just my opinion. 🙂

Really? All of the stores here are shut down and I was told that the Radioshack company went bankrupt. Now there was some talk that another company was buying them, but I have never heard any more about it. In any case, good to know! Thanks for the information.
