Hello my friend and welcome back! Surviving is as much about attitude as it is preparing and is the real key to surviving any disaster. Many people don’t truly understand this. That’s why it is the topic of today’s post. Grab you a cup of coffee and have a seat while we visit.
I spend a great deal of time thinking about and researching survival scenarios. However, I can’t help but notice that there are two things that all true survivors seems to have in common. Survivors have a positive attitude and the determination to survive. It doesn’t matter whether they were lost at sea or in a firefight in the Middle East, they just refuse to except that they won’t survive.
When SHTF hits and the world we know crumbles around us, there will be millions of people who will just roll over and die. They just cannot accept the new reality they are faced with. These people just will not have the will to go on or to fight to survive, in a world gone mad. They will simply zone out and lay down and die or take their own lives. As bad as that sounds, it is the unfortunate truth of severe disasters.
It is mostly caused by the life many people live, with air conditioning and food at their fingertips, anytime they want it. Without these things, they simply lose their will to survive or go on. It may take a couple of days for it to kick in, but it will happen as sure as the sun rises and sets every day. Avoid these people at all cost, as they will be very dangerous and looking for anyone to lash out at in hopes of having someone possibly end their misery.
There is also another group that you will see. They are the ones who are simply desperate, yet lack the strong will to survive as well. We have seen this time and time again, during times of severe hardship. Currently, you only have to look at Venezuela and the recent economic disaster they are facing right now. Many are faced with no money, no food and no medication and a real chance of starvation.
So what kind of attitude do you need to survive? The kind that says you will never give up no matter what. To survive, you need to have a fierce determination to survive and endure whatever hardships you may face. You must never let yourself think, for one moment, that there is any chance that you might fail in you effort to survive. You must stand hard fast to this belief. Never let it be stripped from you by events that surrounds you. This is the attitude of a survivor and helps people overcome mountains of tragedy and walk away a better person for it.
During an SHTF situation, there will be people who have everything they need to survive but the right attitude and because of that, they will perish in the end. Do whatever you have to, in order to make it through. Pray, get mad, whatever you need to do, to sustain you determination to never give up and make it out alive. I believe that no matter how bad things get, God still answers prayers. That is my belief and it makes me stronger.
If you are out-of-town and away from your family when it happens, don’t just say “Oh well there is nothing I can do.” and give up. Use them as a way to strengthen you determination to get home. Resolve to do it no matter what and never let that resolve wane. It is your attitude and stubborn tenacity that will help you survive, when others fail and die. Never give up and never give in!
The simple fact is that you need to develop that resolve now, that will be needed to carry you through when SHTF happens. Don’t depend solely on your preps, because they could be gone in a flash and you are left with nothing but your will and determination to get you through. It is as important as the water and preps that you stock up because without them, you will surely die!
Wel,l that is it for today’s post and I hope you have enjoyed it. Until next time, stay safe, stay strong and stay prepared. God Save America!
