Hello, my friends, and welcome back! Unless you have been living under a rock, then you know our world has changed. The question is, what does this mean for Preppers? Well, grab a cup of coffee my friend, and have a seat while we visit and discuss it.
Covid-19 (The China Virus) has touched the entire world in a way that will forever leave it changed. It has changed the way we greet each other for instance. The days of shaking a person’s hand and looking them in the eyes when greeting them could quickly become a thing of the past. Wearing masks in public has become the new normal for most Americans, and I really don’t see that going away anytime soon.
It’s a shame really, that some governors have taken advantage of this Pandemic to impose draconian measure which in effect suspend American’s rights to free speach and as well as singling out religous grroups in a way that impeads their right to freedom of religon. Trust me when I say that they are merely testing the waters for the next time a Democratic President gets in office.
You can request that people use social distancing to help curb the spread of this pandimic, but to try to enforce it by punishing people who do not is just crazy. It’s a blatant attempt to suspend the US Bill of Rights, and use this pandemic as a cover for it, but what does all of this mean to Preppers?
It means we need to be on guard for other attempts to limit our other rights. For years, we have looked outwardly for the next big crises. Things such as attacks from other countries as well as natural disasters. This should serve as a wake-up call to us that danger can come from within our own Government. The actions of some states, as well as this pandemic should show us that the danger is clear and present.
Now I don’t know about where you live, but here in Idaho, you can not find a chest type deep freezer anywhere. The stores have people waiting in line to buy them as soon as the stores open. In many cases they are sold before the store opens. This says a lot about the public mindset. It shows that they have become keenly aware of the fragility of the US Supply system. Not being able to find the basic needs to survive has spooked more than just a few.
On the bright side, more and more are seriously looking at prepping as a way to help secure their future. They are becoming more open to accepting help from experienced Preppers. In the long run, this may result in more and more items being packaged for long-term storage. Other items that we may see as a result is the development of better ways to store food, as well as more access to medical supplies that can be stored for longterm use.
We as Preppers need to take a hard look at our preps and ensure that we have the materials in place to survive whatever crises may come. Awareness of foreign, domestic, or natural causes of disasters is the rallying cry of the modern-day Prepper. While I have no crystal ball, I can however see the writing on the wall. The world has and will continue to change in the months and years ahead. Will we be ready when the next disaster strikes? Only time will tell my friend, and until next time, stay safe, stay strong, and stay prepared. God Bless America!

All I’m feeling is the calm before the storm
My wife and I Both had COVID “1984” and we had not left Idaho in a year. I think many more have had it and didn’t feel much as far as symptoms. What I do know is hospitals are scamming patients with insurance after collecting COVID money from the feds, we have lost our right to free assembly, freedom of religion, right to privacy, and in some states the right to keep and bear arms. I smell a rat as far as this whole COVID farce is going.
Amen brother!
