In 1963 – just out of the USMC and going to ‘Nam as a private contractor (electronics technician) I bought a used 1911 Colt and 1,000 rounds of :,45 ACP “Match” ammo FMJ for $700. So far, I’ve shot 800+ of those rounds. Never had a misfire or a jam. Keep ’em in a cabinet in my dry basement.
