Video: Top 10 Things You Need For Surviving Blackouts In Comfort

Hello, my friend and welcome back!  Today I have a short video for you as a little reminder of what you should have to make life easier during a blackout.  I hope you will enjoy it, so grab a cup of coffee my friend and have a seat while we visit.

Quick update: It looks like we will be going with a little typing and a podcast for the meat of the posts.  I was hoping to use Dragon Naturally Speaking, but it is going to take a lot more training to understand me.  Right now it’s only getting about 50% of the words right and there are some words it dosen’t understand at all.   Please bare with me while I get set up for the new format. Who knows, I may even throw in a few of my own videos as well. Until next time, stay safe, stay strong and stay prepared.  God Bless America!

  1. Flashlights: You can get a 3 beam headlamp and they are bright. I light up my neighbor’s house accross the street with mine. There are 2 manufacters of these headlights. They are on ebay. I am waiting for a 3rd. headlamp and it has 4 beams on it. I forgot to tell you about the batteries: The headlamps come dwith a “sure fire” battery rated at 3.7volts-3800mAh and the charger came with one of the headlamps. Don’t know which one. You can also buy another type 3.7volt battery rated at 5800mAh. These batteries are rough and tough. once you strap it on it points to where you look.
